Miranda arrived in her foster home from a shelter only four hours before delivering a litter of puppies. She was so very neglected, and very little could be done for her until her babies were weaned. But she is now the gorgeous little dog she should have always been and is well on the road to recovery in her new home in Mississippi.

Sophia had over a hundred ticks on her tiny five pound body when she was picked up as a stray. She was so skinny and anemic we had to wait a month or so before even having her spayed. Isn't she a little beauty now? She's at home in Alabama, resting on her daddy's tummy.

Stella was advertised "free to a good home" in the newspaper, and when her foster mom went to check on her, she found her almost dead from the septic wound caused when she was attacked by a big dog. Little Stella made a complete recovery and is now attending Little League games in Memphis with her family, we're told.

What a quirky little dog Libby was, even when she came into rescue with her nasty mouth and skinny self. She was adopted by her forever family in Mississippi, where she never missed a meal and was the center of attention during her long and happy life. Libby is waiting now at the Rainbow Bridge for her mama Janne. When that time comes, she’ll be dancing again for sure. Rest in peace, LibbyLu.

Little Holly the shih tzu was dumped at a shelter with sores all over her. Someone had poured motor oil on her in an ignorant effort to get rid of the demodectic manage she was covered with. She is the darling of her family in South Carolina. We always knew how beautiful you were, Holly!

Gabe the toy poodle was in such bad shape in a shelter that nobody could even tell what kind of dog he was. He is missing one of the bones in one of his rear legs, so it's like a toothpick. His jaw has been broken at some point in the past and healed so poorly that he can't really chew. Neither of those things slows him down, and they certainly don't keep his mama in Alabama from loving him.

Alfie, another little toy poodle, was running the streets when he was picked up by animal control and taken to a shelter. It's hard to imagine someone putting such a tiny baby outside. What's worse, he was heartworm positive and had to undergo that nasty treatment. He's doing fine now, and living with his doting family and several poodle siblings in Mississippi.

Tiny little Shedaisy was rescued from a shelter so thin she could hardly stand, almost totally hairless, and with a badly infected mouth. After she adopted her mama Marianne in Mississippi, she went to work with her every day and turned into a little girl beautiful enough to decorate a Christmas card. She is now waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for her mom. Rest in peace, Miss Shedaisy.
